What cases do those who carry out waste transport, storage and disposal normally face?

As for transportation:

  • Those who collect and transport waste generally deal with more than one product and therefore must have more than one ministerial authorization for both the transport and storage of the waste
  • The means of transport intended for waste must guarantee certain standards that change depending on the waste they transport
  • Each vehicle must or may be suitable for transporting more than one type of waste and the suitability of the means of waste transport can only be issued following a sworn appraisal by a technician
  • Each transport authorization may indicate more than one means of transport
  • Transport authorizations have a start and end date, normally valid for 5 to 10 years

Waste collection:

  • Waste-producing customers can be organizations or private individuals, each with one or more collection points (e.g. construction sites) with different contacts and locations
  • The collection containers vary for each customer (drums, bells, tanks) depending on the type and regulations. They can be provided as a deposit and recommended by the collector or chosen by the customer
  • The choice of container depends on the spaces available: in the city drums are preferred for faster collection and for the little space available, while in tourist locations tanks of up to 1000 liters are used, emptied at the end of the season
  • Upon collection of the waste, a form (4 copies) is issued: one for the customer, one for the carrier, one for storage and one to be returned to the customer with the confirmed quantity

Storage:

  • Storage can be temporary (waiting for a transformer or disposer) or permanent
  • The waste has a maximum temporary storage time (eg oil no longer than 6 months). The authorizations last 7 years and establish quantity limits and the annual turnover of the product
  • Those who carry out temporary storage can sell the waste to disposers or processors, with prices linked to the market or raw materials. National consortia, such as CONOE (www.conoe.it), may intervene as partial or full buyers

For customers we issue an annual rental invoice which includes at least one annual collection. We offer the customer from 1 to 24 annual collections with related agreed fees, at the end of the year we make the adjustments. When we sell the product we immediately invoice both the dealer and the disposer/processor
